Using this site, applying as a host, hiring hosts or connecting an account means you agree to these terms.
Who we are. Hosts for Hire is a UK agency that places freelance live-stream hosts with shops and sellers. We're not part of TikTok, eBay or Whatnot and we don't speak for them.
Hosts. Applying puts you on our list; it isn't a job offer. Hosts work with us as self-employed freelancers and are responsible for their own tax. For each booked stream you're paid a flat fee per hour (the National Living Wage rate, currently £12.71) with a 3-hour minimum, plus 3% of sales from your fourth live with the same seller. Sales are measured from the seller's TikTok Shop figures where we can read them, otherwise from what the seller reports. You can accept or decline any offer. Turn up, stream the agreed hours, follow the seller's product guidance and TikTok's rules, and we'll pay you monthly.
Sellers. Our hosts stream on your account or in your studio under your product and compliance rules. You pay a monthly retainer we agree in writing before the first stream, which covers host fees, our management and the hosts' sales share. Cancel a booked stream with less than 24 hours' notice and the host's fee for that stream is still due. Hosts are introduced through us; hiring one directly within 12 months of their last stream for you incurs a placement fee of one month's retainer.
Linked accounts. Linking your TikTok account or connecting a TikTok Shop gives us read-only access as described in our privacy notice. You can revoke it at any time. We don't post, message or change anything on your behalf.
The kit shop. Products bought from us are covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Made-to-order items such as custom signs can't be returned unless faulty. Delivery times quoted are estimates.
Content and conduct. Don't use the site to send spam, scrape data or impersonate anyone. We can remove hosts or sellers from our lists at our discretion, for example for no-shows, abuse or breaches of platform rules.
Liability. We do our best but can't guarantee sales, viewer numbers or that a host or seller will be available. We're not liable for losses that aren't a direct and foreseeable result of our own breach. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Changes and law. We may update these terms; the date below changes when we do. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
